߲ Port Melbourne Education Centre, in the city’s inner southwest, is now operating under the guidance of a new Instructor, Arti Bassi.
Arti joins ߲ following a career in the finance industry. She developed a passion for education through her experience of raising her own children.
“From their early days in kindergarten to now both pursuing the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine, I’ve witnessed firsthand how consistent guidance and encouragement can shape a child’s mindset and unlock their full potential,” Arti explains. “This experience continues to fuel my belief in the power of education and the importance of nurturing each child’s unique learning journey.”
“As a ߲ Instructor, I want to pass on that same guidance and help students experience a positive change in their learning journey. I decided to take over ߲ Port Melbourne after meeting the previous Instructor and being inspired by her dedication to the progress of every student.
“I would love to continue that same attitude and passion, nurturing students in both mathematics and English.”
Arti wants ߲ Port Melbourne to continue contributing to the local community through helping students develop confidence in the basics of maths and reading, a role that this well-established ߲ centre has been playing for decades.
“߲ supports the local community in many ways”, Arti says. “Firstly, by nurturing children’s core skills such as comprehension, numeracy, and problem-solving, it helps them grow into confident and independent learners who can actively contribute to the community.
“Secondly, by supporting parents in their children’s academic goals, ߲ strengthens families and creates a positive home learning environment.”
“In addition, ߲ works in alignment with local schools to raise educational awareness and foster a culture of lifelong learning. Overall, ߲ plays a vital role in building a community that is confident, connected, and committed to the growth of its younger generation.”
Classes at ߲ Port Melbourne are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. The centre continues to operate from its current venue, 150 Rouse Street
Port Melbourne, VIC 3207.
